Detection of Hazards in the Kitchen Using AI Object Recognition
This system is intended for visually impaired individuals, children, and those inexperienced in using the kitchen. Kitchens contain numerous hazards, such as glass, ceramics, and sharp tools, which can be particularly dangerous for users who may find it difficult to visually assess safety or are inexperienced.
Using YOLOv5, this system aims to detect such hazards in real time, providing users with warning signals to prevent accidents and create a safer environment. Additionally, with audio guidance to help users recognize risks, the goal is to enable safer, more autonomous operation within the kitchen.
I captured footage directly from the kitchen, recording a total of five videos. videos 1,2
, and video 3
were used for AI training, focusing on observing objects from various angles in detail. video 4
and video 5
were recorded to test the performance of the AI trained on the first three videos.
